Guy served for 22 years as the Director of Water and Sewer in the city until his retirement in 2018. From the age of 5, Arlene had an affinity for music. Born in New Haven, CT of cuban immigrant parents, Arlene flourished from the many perspectives of a multicultural upbringing. Listening to American and Latin music from a very young age, Arlene immediately began to write her own compositions opting out of learning the tired lessons of her highly frustrated, but patient piano teacher. In 2006, Arlene decided go the solo route full time. She took a leap of faith and quit her unfulfilling daytime career to pursue the passion of her dreams. Here is where her nickname ArleneWow! was discovered. It seemed that wherever she performed her audiences would be slack-jawed and say “Wow, that was awesome, Arlene!” Her friends and fans then began calling her ArleneWow! and the rest is history. Meet Bob Petzold, President of Petzold's Marine Center in Portland, CT! Petzold’s is one of New England’s largest boat dealers, representing some of the finest new boats in the industry, including Sabre, Back Cove, EdgeWater, Regal, Sea Fox & Sylvan as well as a very active brokerage department. Most recently, the marine company had added the coveted, Chris-Craft, to its fleet. To accommodate the greater shoreline area of Connecticut, Petzold’s has expanded with two satellite sales offices. One in Norwalk, CT & the other in Warwick, RI. In 2020 the Petzold’s family celebrated their 75th anniversary by purchasing Chester Boat Basin, the former Chrisholm Marine in Chester, CT. Upon retirement of William and Agnes, their son Bill Jr., daughter Elaine Cote, and her husband, Richard Cote, ran the yard. All three have since retired. Bill Jr’s two sons, Bob as President and Ken as Vice President.
