Gary Beaulieu joins ConnValley’s faculty with over forty years of teaching and playing experience. He began lessons as a kid at the Hometown Store in East Hartford and later went on to study with Jimi Bell from the band Autograph. He continued his guitar playing through college where he also studied music theory. During his time performing, Gary has played at various fairs, events and private parties, and throughout CT. Currently he plays guitar for the band Out of the Blue. Gary teaches all ages and levels, specializing in 70’s – 90’s classic rock, blues rock and early alternative.Aside from performing and teaching, Gary is a skilled guitar repair technician.

Reopening Info
Per the Governor's reopening guidelines and concern for public health, we have put safety guidelines in place that we will follow to ensure your health and the health of our faculty and staff:

We require that ALL students, faculty, staff, and shoppers wear masks while in the store. The only exception are wind players DURING a lesson, i.e saxophone, trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet, etc.

If you do not feel well, please do not come in for your lesson. The same applies to faculty.

We will take temperatures of our faculty and staff when they enter the building.
-
Our staff will sanitize high touch surfaces after each lesson and/or every half hour.
-
We have hand sanitizer at the front counter and in every studio.
-
We have installed plexi-glass partitions in each studio and at the front counter.

Please respect the 6-foot social distancing markers on the floor.

If you are shopping in our store, please ask a staff member for assistance before handling any merchandise or instruments.

Our restroom will not be open to the public.

We will only allow 2 people at a time in our waiting room.

Lessons will be staggered to allow for social distancing.

Curbside pick up will still be available.

Rest in Peace - Guy P. Russo
Guy Patrick Russo born March 17, 1955 passed away on July 13, 2025 at 70 years old after a two year battle with cancer. Guy served for 22 years as the Director of Water and Sewer in the city until his retirement in 2018.
